Every Decision Begins with Purpose

At Procera, our commitment to improving the environment of our community, continent, and planet guides everything we do. From reforesting Kenya's highlands by planting one new tree per bottle sold to pioneering zero-waste water systems, our goal is to create exceptional gin while leaving behind something better than we found.

Environmental Impact

A commitment to sustainability is at the core of Procera’s mission. The vision centers on reforesting the Kenyan highlands with Procera trees. Since inception, we have planted one new tree for every bottle sold.

No two bottles are the same—each is crafted from 100% recycled glass, making Procera truly one of a kind. Our distillery, located in the heart of Nairobi, operates with a pioneering zero-waste water system, setting the standard for sustainable distilling in Africa.

Our mission remains clear: to act responsibly and contribute to a sustainable future for our planet.

Community Impact

Creating unparalleled flavor profiles starts by working on partnerships within our local communities that align with our vision on sustainability and impact.

The dedicated partners are the caretakers of the land to produce raw ingredients that make Procera so special.

Being an industry pioneer in genuine and equitable community engagement, we're able to create scalable, systematic change and guarantee extraordinary quality for generations to come.

Our Partners

Kitengela Glass

Kitengela Glass redefines African artistry with a sustainable luxury ethos. From the Nairobi atelier overlooking the savannah, master glassblowers shape molten recycled glass into exquisite forms—each a testament to elegance, craftsmanship, and ecological responsibility.

Founded by Anselm Croze, Kitengela fuses ancient Venetian techniques with contemporary African design, creating bespoke sculptures, tableware, gin bottles, and lighting.

As Procera celebrates Africa’s botanical bounty, Kitengela embodies its artistry in glass: rare, refined, and rooted in place.

Kijabe Forest Trust

Working with the Kijabe Forest Trust, we are reforesting Kenya's highlands with Procera trees by planting one new tree per bottle sold.

This partnership supports the local communities who handpick our fresh juniper berries from wild trees growing at altitude near our distillery.

The Trust's dedicated rangers play a critical role in protecting the forest ecosystem and the majestic Juniperus Procera trees that soar more than 20 meters in height.

Sandstorm Kenya

Sandstorm Kenya has mastered the art of transforming raw hide into timeless pieces from their Karen workshop overlooking Nairobi National Park.

Renowned as the trusted outfitters for East Africa's most discerning safari lodges, these master leather artisans bring decades of expertise to each Procera bottle.

Their signature hand-finished African leather—supple, burnished, and stitched with meticulous precision—provides an elegant grip around each bottle's neck, embodying Kenya's finest craft tradition.

Takawiri Initiative

Located in Kisumu, Takawiri has transformed water hyacinth—an invasive plant choking Lake Victoria—into beautifully hand‑crafted paper. This upcycling initiative not only tackles a major environmental threat but also uplifts the local community with new employment opportunities and a renewed sense of purpose.

At Procera, we’re incredibly proud to partner with Takawiri. Their innovative approach to environmental stewardship aligns perfectly with our own commitment to sustainability.

Studio Koobi Fora

Our hand-carved stoppers are made by a collective of artisans in Kilifi on the Indian Ocean coast. Working with sustainably sourced coconut wood, these talented craftspeople carefully shape each piece into a miniature work of art.

The result is a stopper that's not only functional, but a beautiful symbol of the craftsmanship and care that defines every aspect of Procera.
